Green Energy is Here to Stay

Carl Sagan said, "Anything else you’re interested in is not going to happen if you can’t breathe the air and drink the water. Don’t sit this one out. Do something." And that is exactly what a group of citizens and city employees who cared about a sustainable and green environment in Steamboat Springs, Colorado did in 2005 when they started  an independent group called Green team.


After coal: recreating a local economy

   For more than a century, the town of Centralia in southwestern Washington has largely depended on extractive industries for its economy. Logging and coal mining typically provided jobs that paid pretty well. But the forestry industry took a big hit back in 1981 when Mt. St. Helens erupted, and then the coal mine just outside of town closed in 2006.


Greenpop Living

Greenpop takes green seriously. In fact, Greenpop personifies Green Mind, Green living Green doing. It all started when founder and TreeEO Misha Teasdale, after returning from his travels, wanted to contribute to sustaining the environment. He along with 9 friends had a goal to plant a 1000 trees during September in the under greened townships of Cape Town.
